Should I choose a leadership position or should I choose a content oriented staff role? Which job suits you best is a typical question in a career assessment. The prime question here is which change is most logical given your motives, personality and competencies. With career assessments there is very often a desire or need to change jobs. A career assessment often consists of more than the assessment day itself. Usually there is an intake a few weeks before the assessment. In some cases a meeting with three parties is scheduled between the participant, the organisation and the assessment consultant, during which the assessment needs are formulated. A career assessment often has an open goal but it is wise to formulate an overlying question. If a participant does not have any affinity with commerce, it would not be useful to spend time on this. We advise to focus on certain areas during the assessment (for example leadership, commercial or content focus). In the career assessment process and the reporting of it, the LTP People Performance model is used. The advice always consists of a clear direction. |
