The career scan helps employees with their orientation in terms of career opportunities. The career scan usually consists of questionnaires around personality, working styles, motives and interests, with the aim to gain more understanding of oneself. The participant not only increases self-awareness, but also gains better insight into his or her capabilities and, in relation to work, what he or she wishes to do. Capability tests can be part of the career scan in order to determine the working and thinking level, for example to determine if it is suitable to pursue certain education. The career scan primarily encourages employees to think about who they are and what they want, and serves only as a starting point for a career discussion or a career development programme with a mobility consultant. The report can also be very useful as input for a Personal Development Programme (PDP). The development scan can also be done individually as part of career development counseling at LTP. The results of a career scan are integrated in a tangible report. The participant receives clear answers around questions: Who am I? What can I do? What do I want? Besides this, the relationship between these questions will be provided. |
