Framework and Approach
|
LTP developed a leadership programme that always fits the specific development needs of participants. At the same time, the dynamic of the group is used as a way to learn from each other. The programme encourages participants to experiment with new behaviour while keeping their own style with the aim to fully use their potential. Characteristic of the programme is that short theoretical introductions are followed by active working methods and the application of what was learned in practical settings. After each module participants work in real life situations on and in the next module experiences and effects are discussed.
The following elements are part of the programme:
- Self-assessment and 360 feedback.
- Conversation between participant, direct supervisor, and an LTP trainer, with the aim to formulate clear goals.
- Kick-off meeting with the presence of direct supervisor.
- Four leadership modules: Personal leadership and role model, motivating and inspiring, leading others, drive and focus.
- Overall look-back with a conversation between participants, the management and direct supervisors about insights and skills and how to ensure what is learned is brought into practice.
- Conversation between participant, direct supervisor and an LTP trainer with the aim to evaluate the programme and work on continuous learning.

Progress Project

The leadership programme is currently still in progress for the middle-management. Participants are showing significant changes in behaviour in their day-to-day work; they indicate they have great benefit from participating. Dräger has decided, based on evaluations, to extend the programme to all leadership levels.
