Management Development for top 75
The Dutch Probation Service (Reclassing Nederland) plays a crucial social role. At the same time, the organisation deals with increasing work pressure and increasing demands from the (judicial) partners.
In addition, the eyes of the Dutch community are frequently focused on them. In order to provide support to the by nature very content driven employees, LTP and the Dutch Probation Service have developed a broad development programme for the top 75 of the organisation, consisting of the Country Management Team and the Regional Management Teams.

Goal
|
In order to provide support to employees as work pressure and demands increase, the Dutch Probation Service wants the top 75 to participate in a development programme. In this programme, leadership competencies are developed by providing coaching, knowledge, training and intervision. Aside from this, knowledge and experiences are shared during facilitation sessions within and between different regions.

Framework and Approach
|
The leadership programme we developed for the Dutch Probation Service is tailored to the most important themes within the organisation, such as planning and control, change management, and leadership. These themes are subject to continuous change. The programme is adjusted to real-life themes, the reality of the day. Leaders develop and facilitate part of the programme themselves, with the support of a senior LTP advisor.
The development programme is based on the principle of Action Learning, whereby organisation development and leadership development go hand-in-hand. Despite the fact that the overall programme has been designed, flexibility is demanded from programme managers. Actual situations and themes must be taken into account as and when they occur.
The leadership programme has five tracks:
- Individual track (360 feedback, development meeting, personal development programme)
- Training programme that fits the personal development programme
- Regional and Country Team development
- Intervision
- Large scale events

Progress Project
|
The leadership programme has been running for a year and the first results are visible. In about a year there will be a formal evaluation of the results. In the meantime, a lot of positive feedback has already been shared.
