Teams are more successful and add more value to the organisation when team members know what is expected of them, can use each others' talents to the benefit of the team and work together efficiently and with trust. Working in teams has its challenges. Teams often don’t operate to their full potential and could improve energy and focus. Working as a team to determine the factors that are crucial to the performance is a first step. LTP developed a diagnostic instrument that clarifies different facets of team performance: the Team Performance Rating (TPR). This instrument proves to be a relevant basis for team development programmes aimed at improving teamwork and effectiveness within the team. The results of the TPR provide insight into opportunities for improvement within the team. The report helps to understand the causes of success, but also the causes of stagnation will be swiftly identified. By discussing the report with the team, a start can be made to work on development opportunities. |
